Notable Projects

Just Model Things (2016-2018)

Linnea Pihl made her unofficial directorial debut with the autobiographical mockumentary Just Model Things. The web series follows LeeLoo, a model approaching 30, grappling with anxiety and uncertainty as she faces the end of her modelling career. Blending dry humour with emotional honesty, the series received critical recognition, winning Best Web Series at both Roma CinemaDOC and Direct Monthly Online Film Festival in 2017.

Siphonophore

In 2019, Pihl directed Siphonophore, a 14 minute drama about a conversation between a young women and her estranged father. At its core the film is about the repetitive cycle of narcissistic abuse and co-dependence. Siphonophore won awards for Best Indie Short Film and Editing, and honourable mentions for Best Original Score (Tobias Elof), Best Lead Actress (Pihl), Best Sound Design and Best Production.
